FREE blessings

Finally my free patterns are back! After losing them from my Craftsy Store at the end of December, they have been languishing with broken links!

In particular, the 12 patterns from the Block of the Month project, Hand-picked Wardrobe, are all now available.

It's a fun quilt, with a little bit of applique, embroidery and piecing, but it has an amazing message of  how we should 'dress' our lives to live them to the fullest each day with God in control.

I have a number of quilts that have a Christian theme, like the Gifts of Grace:

or the Love Never Fails quilt with its removable mini quilts:

You can find them here.

I'm planning on offering some more free patterns this year so keep an eye out for them.

I have been thinking about the word "FREE" and have been amazed at the free blessings God's has given hubby and I lately. They may be small things to some people, but have been BIG free gifts from God to us - like when our son-in-law and grandson came and spent a whole afternoon doing lots of odd jobs that had been accumulating around our house.

Then last night we went to a fund-raising concert for a charity in Nepal. The concert was great and most enjoyable but the icing on the cake was when we met up with a man whom we had not seen since he was a little boy in the 1970's. We worked closely with his parents back then and now to hear of the rewarding and fulfilling life he has had in serving others was just such a blessing to us. It was a very special 'God moment' - all so freely given by our God of love.

God always gets the timing exactly right in encouraging us when we're down in the dumps or had a bad week! I hope you experience some of God's FREE blessings this week. We can't earn them, or buy them, but we sure can accept them as a gift!

Val, how lovely for you to meet that young man. It must have been so encouraging for you. I know what you mean about being able to get odd jobs done. It gets to be a bit of a problem as you get older I have discovered.

What a wonderful meeting you enjoyed. God does work even when we least expect it. Your quilt projects are lovely and amazing. Spring is Near...<3

God is always in time, isn't He? I loved your story. The best things in life are moments when we recognize God's hand in our lives.
