Gearing up and Winding down!

At the moment I feel as if I am torn between two realities. On one hand I am winding down - it's the end of a fairly difficult year, it's hot and humid and not conducive to sitting at a sewing machine, and some of our regular activities have ceased for the year. It feels as if it's time to relax and put up my feet.

On the other hand, I am gearing up - preparing for a Church Christmas party on Friday, counting how many mattresses I have for the influx of family with the first arrivals next Sunday, making the Christmas pudding and Christmas cake, buying turkeys and ham and just gearing up for Christmas in general.

We are overjoyed that we will have our total family of 29 with us for Christmas! It's a rare event that we can all be together and amazing that it can happen, considering the ramifications of an ever-increasing extended family.

I am also gearing up to launch the 2020 Block of the Month in January.

I am on the home run on the last block and then it shouldn't take long to put it all together.

It is one of those projects that gives me great joy every time I work on it.

I hope you are liking it too!

Happy stitching!
Val

How wonderful to have all your family together for Christmas; we always seemed to have one or two missing.
Your new BOM looks lovely. I hope you have a very happy and blessed Christmas and New Year.

The sneak peeks at the new BOM look lovely. I cannot believe how many people you will be entertaining for Christmas. It is beyond my comprehension and abilities. But I am so happy for you to be able to have your entire family together. Best wishes for a wonderful gathering!
