2022 Block of the Month launch

My 2022 Block of the Month design is being launched today, and it's something a bit different!

Days of Delight is an ever-so-practical, gorgeous perpetual Calendar.

Days of Delight is a great project to use up your scraps and left-over jelly roll strips, charm squares and layer cake pieces.

The Calendar consists of 33 separate parts including mini-quilts, hexagons and a beautiful box to store all the parts.
The Wall hanging measures: 19½in x 23½in (50cm x 60cm).
 Months Mini-quilts: 3½in x 7in
Days of the Week Mini-quilts: 5½in x 6½in
Number Hexagons: 2¾in x 3in
Box: 8¼in x 10¼in x 2¾in.

Each month, the patterns for various sections of the Calendar will be released, commencing in January 2022, with the final patterns being sent in December. All patterns will be sent in pdf format by email in the second week of each month.

You can join the 2022 Days of Delight Calendar BOM at the cost of $20.00.

I have called this new design "Days of Delight" for a number of reasons - "Day" is obvious because each day you change the mini-quilts to the correct day and number, to keep the calendar up to date. - "Delight" because I hope you will be delighted with all the little pieces that make up this design, but above that, we can always find some delight in our day, in spite of our circumstances, especially when we have eyes to see the beauty that God has put around us in nature and in our lovely friends and family.

I hope you will join me in this programme for 2022 and share in the fun of making all the parts that make up this project. There is going to be a load of variety, lots of applique and plenty of hand-stitching - all of which gives you opportunity to set some time aside each month to indulge in a slower pace of life, which is something I think we all need in these uncertain pandemic days!

Happy Stitching
Val

Hi Val, How lovely to see your wonderful designs ..... I've been a bit MIA the past 3 years (and 4 house moves in that time!!) I've finally been able to pull out my sewing stuff again and sort it out ..... I have Hand-picked wardrobe which I started a few years back when it was a block of the month with only the first couple of blocks completed so I've just downloaded all the pattern pieces again since I've no idea where they got to ... Block 1 link does not work and I'm a little worried it might be the instruction bit that tells me where I need to put everything and likely it was the one which had the measurements of each of the pieces of material I have cut out so hoping my old instruction turns up somewhere! Anyhow, I'm back to blogging again and some embroidery so look forward to working on this and seeing it completed ..... then I may be looking to do this lovely calender you've created!! Hugs Sharm
