Celebrating with Granddaughters

July is always a good month for our family with four birthdays spread throughout the month.

Then this year the month was extra special with having our two daughters home for a short time in the first week.

It couldn't get much better than that, but it did!

We have six beautiful granddaughters and nine grandsons.
In the second week of July, one of our granddaughters announced her engagement.

Then in the third week, another granddaughter at the other end of Australia, announced her engagement.

The crowning joy happened this last week of the month, when another granddaughter delivered her first child, a sweet little girl called Anna-Maria.

I haven't stopped smiling the whole month!

Baby's present was the Huggles Cot Quilt.

Wouldn't you know it, I forgot to take a photo of the finished product, but it was this quilt that was prettied up for a little girl.

... and keeping it in the family, one of our grandsons drew the cute Australian animals for me -
We LOVE all our grandchildren!

Happy stitching,
Val

  1. Oh wow! So many grandies! (And I'm jealous that you have girls.) And now you're a great-grandmother too. My goodness, how time marches on, right? Well, if you didn't get a picture of the finished quilt, I bet that that granddaughter will oblige with a picture of Anna-Maria ON the quilt. That would be lovely, wouldn't it? Warms a great-grandmother's AND quiltmaker's heart!
